He began his career as an Auditor before working his way up to Finance Director of several international advertising agencies for 15 years.
Beginning as an Auditor in the early days, he worked his way up to Accounts Administrator in a company dealing with palm oil. Then he became Finance Director of several international advertising agencies, starting with McCann Erickson, where he spent a good 15 years. He then joined Publicis Malaysia and later Interface Advertising, before coming to Draftfcb in early 2006.Says that numbers are both fun and entertaining. Currently, he’s contemplating on writing a book on how numbers are as strong as sex appeal.
A true-blue numbers man, he has been in finance since 1977. Not only is he a qualified chartered accountant, he is also a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) and the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (ACMA).
Meng Jit is a real numbers man, having worked in finance from the start of his career way back in 1977. That speaks volumes of his experience, of course.
