A qualified Chartered Accountant and Chartered Certified Accountant by training, Hong Wen is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and Malaysian Institute of Accountants with 8 years of experience in the field of Internal Auditing, Enterprise Risk Management , IFRS and implementation of ISO 9001:2008.In his current role, Hong Wen was tasked to set up from scratch the Internal Audit Function at his current Company and is currently heading it. Internal auditing aside, Hong Wen also manage to revamp the Company’s ISO 9001:2008 and was subsequently made the ISO Quality Management Representative. Being a hands on person, Hong Wen is also very much involved in the auditing process of the various branch offices and subsidiaries of the Company. As part of raising awareness on business risk, Hong Wen also spear headed the Company’s first Enterprise Risk Management program as well as IFRS implementation program.
Prior to taking up his current role, Hong Wen was employed as an Internal Auditor by an MNC which is a key producer of oleo chemicals globally. Hong Wen has also been employed at Ernst & Young Risk Advisory where he specialized in Internal Auditing and Enterprise Risk Management. Hong wen has also worked at Deloitte and Touch where his time was split between Assurance Engagements and Internal Auditing Engagements.
Till date, Hong Wen has audited Companies in the field of Biotechnology, Construction and Property Investment, automotive, plastic, fund management, cement manufacturing and manufacturing.
